Testing the new shower
So Casey and I had a go int he fancy new shower last night and this afternoon. It is great! Drains well. The body jets are wonderful and the hand shower works well. The overhead though comes out at a slow pace. I think there may be something stuck in it, like sealer or something from putting it together. I am sure the plumber won’t mind coming out and rectifying the problem!
We are also going to swap the curtain to the storage to being some sort of solid door, which will lift sort of like an attic staircase. Anyway another project to seal up the stoarage and utility areas surrounding the day spa.
Family BBQ
We went and had a BBQ over at Casey’s Aunt Eve and Uncle Gary’s today. Her mum didn’t show up and everyone was extremely disappointed (it made Casey cry). Aunt Sharron made up for it with a great blanket made by Casey’s Great Aunt Louise (or something like that) and a crocheted hooded sweater. Very nice!
We had a nice time with family we do not get to see often enough.
Ceiling Fans that Heat and Cool!
So today Pocket Megan and I installed all four of our Reiker Room Conditioner Ceiling Fans. About six hours of fun in the heat! It is so hot here today 90F outside and 80F inside. However the fans are helping big time!
We got lucky and all of the light boxes were already metal and hung on studs. We also could not work out the flush mounting, it was way too difficult and the instructions were not helpful for that part. So we hung them all with the downrods.
Surprisingly they do not look to bad at all. The fans are controlled by rooms thermostats. In the winter you can have the heating element come on and it evenly will heat the room to your desireed tempature.
We have high hopes for the fans adding to the comfort of our guests. We asked one guest if they would mind us installing it while she was out, and she had no problem. The other set we did not ask, as they do not come back in until late. So they should be pleasantly surprised this evening.

Just seeing if I can get my blog posts to work on my facebook profile.
Trials and Tribulations
It seems like there is always something going on here.
After a wonderful weekend spent mostly away at the Inn at Mallard Cove, and at the local Eastside Neighborhood Picnic, Casey and I arrived home to a vey large and fun baby shower. we were lucky to get a lot of useful gifts!
Today I have taken it up a gear on the Day Spa as we are having massages tonight. That is if I last until then as I am operating on hardly any sleep. You see I filed the small claims against Brian, but hope he comes to his senses and just returns our stuff. Either way karma will get him.
We finally got the bathroom fan, however one of the welds on the fan was busted before I even got to installing it. We have to buy a new one and take back the old. So I installed what I could got the light part working and can just add the new fan unit when it arrives. Casey gave me that bright idea! Now she is napping on the couch.
So now I must trudge back upstairs and do some more work. I have to carry up the chairs for the foot-soaking tubs, then seal the shower grout.
